Association of Open University Graduates Limited
The Association of Open University Graduates was officially formed in 1988 and was then Incorporated in 1999 as a Company Limited by Guarantee.
All elected Officers of the Association of Open University Graduates have the right to be Directors of the Company for the term of their period of office.
All Directors of the Company are registered with Companies House.
Directors: Margaret Stobirski, Derrick Franks, Jean Hertzog, Philip Evans and Pamela Pearce.
AOUG Directors hold all the shared legal responsibilities of Directorship and are responsible for ensuring that the Executive Committee comply with all legal requirements of the current Companies Acts.
The Association of Open University Graduates Limited is governed by the Memorandum and Articles which may only be changed by Resolutions carried by the majority vote of members at an Annual General Meeting.
All current members have the right to submit Resolutions in writing in advance, and to vote, either in person at the AGM, or by a postal vote in advance. Non Executive Committee members attendance at AGMs is at their own expense.
Day to day running of the Association of Open University Graduates is governed by regulations set out in Standing Orders which may be updated by majority decisions of the Executive Committee.

AOUG Trading Limited
AOUG Trading Ltd was formed through Incorporation on 19th April 1994.
The objectives of the company is to offer Association members with affordable merchandise items. All members are shareholders of the company which is limited by liability. The Association pays all the running costs of the company.
The roles of Directors are held by the elected Officers of the Association of Open University Graduates and are registered at Companies House.

AOUG Foundation for Education
The AOUG Foundation for Education formed as a charity, established through Incorporation on 20th September 1994. The roles of Trustees and Directors are held by the elected Officers of the Association of Open University Graduates and are registered at Companies House. The aims of the Foundation are to support the Open University and its Graduates.
A system of Awards has been developed over the years and now consists of:
These are financial Awards offered annually to a graduate who is doing research with The Open University, and are presented at the University at Milton Keynes.
The Foundation aims: "To advance education by making grants to Open University graduates to assist them to undertake post-graduate research projects."
This is a financial Award which has been offered four times, once in 2000, once in 2006, once in 2009 and again in 2013. It is given to a graduate of The Open University who is doing research with The Open University.
Funding of the Foundation
The funding of the Awards is by donations received from various areas. The Association of Open University Graduates, a separate company, annually donates funds from interest earned on investments, which is the main life-line of the charity. Donations are also received from members and methods to increase the charity's income are always being considered. The Association also pays for all the running costs of the charity.
