Full graduate Member:
Only people who have already gained a degree from The Open University may become a full member of the Association of Open University Graduates (AOUG). If you have an OU degree at any level, you are eligible to join with full voting rights on the payment of an annual subscription. Please download and complete the main Membership Form or proceed to the online membership page.
Associate Student Member:
However anyone still studying with the OU is very welcome to join as an Associate member with all the usually communications and activities on the payment of an annual membership. The only difference is that you will not be able to vote or stand for election or co-option to the Executive Committee until you complete a degree. If you fit this category then please download and complete the Associate Membership Form or proceed to the online membership page.
Associate Social Member:
AOUG also welcome all friends and family of full AOUG graduate members or anyone who simply believes in our Association and wishes to share in the friendships through the activities we offer. If you fit into this category then you will first need to find a current AOUG graduate member and arrange for them to act as your nominator. If they agree then they need to complete the Associate Membership Nomination Form and you need to submit it along with your own completed Associate Membership Form to the AOUG Office with a cheque for the annual subscription. Associate Social Member can attend official meetings if they wish but have no voting rights and cannot stand for election or cooption to the Executive Committee.
We are sorry but there is currently no facility for new Associate Social Members on line but if you wish to pay by Direct Debit, you can scan the completed forms and email them to the Office. However once you have this initial membership set up, you will in future be able to renew on line without the need for further nomination forms to be completed.
All new members regardless of category will receive a Welcome Pack with membership badge, copies of the hard copy magazine OMEGA and details of current activities. Once registered you will receive further copies of OMEGA plus electronic copies of Local Newsletters and you may attend any activities in any area of the UK, or Southern Ireland regardless of the Region or Nation where you are official affiliated to.
We do hope you will join this community of OU graduate, students and friends.
