2019 Diary Dates

Saturday 15th June. 12noon
Meet at the café by the car park at Bodnant Gardens, Bodnant Road, Tal-y-cafn, Colwyn Bay LL28 5RE for lunch prior to going into the extensive eighty acre Grade I listed gardens. The gardens cover a sloping site and the lower areas are a joy to experience but there is plenty to see in the upper gardens for the less mobile. Members and friends can therefore choose their own way and then meet up again for an afternoon drink in the smaller café before treating themselves to a memory in the garden centre or craft shops at the exit. Admission £14 but as this is National Trust property, it is free to members.

Saturday 17th August. 11am
Meet at the Y Gegin Café near the main entrance of St Fagins Open Air Museum, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NP. St Fagins chronicles the historical lifestyle, culture, and architecture of the Welsh people and has recently been updated with several eating facilities around the site. Although this is ‘open air’ there are many opportunities to go into and explore buildings and so it is still suitable even if it were to be inclement weather. Entry is free.
