2018 Diary Dates

South Wales
Wednesday 4th July.12noon
Meet at the entrance of The Dylan Thomas Centre, 6, Somerset Place, Swansea SA1 1RR to see a tribute to Dylan Thomas, the ‘Love the Words’ exhibition. This contains details of his life, work and the culture of the time. The museum is just a short walk from the city centre and contains interactive displays and artefacts. After our tour there is a chance to enjoy cakes and coffee (or a light lunch) in one of the many cafes nearby. Please contact your Executive Representative if you intend to come or require more information.

Saturday 29th September. 12noon
Meet outside the Custom House (at the end of the Barrage) to walk over to the new café. This is a beautiful location with great views of The Marina and across the channel over to Western. After a chat and celebration coffee, exchanging our OU stories, memories and photos, there are various options. Maybe a walk along The Barrage to Cardiff Bay (or take the Water Bus) or a walk and pub lunch on The Marina. There is a large car park available with the nearest railway station at Cogan, a few metres from the café on The Barrage.
