Meet in the Dining Room of Goddards, 27, Tadcaster Road, York, YO24 1GG. This house was designed by Edwin Lutyens for the Terry family (of chocolate fame). The garden was designed by Gertrude Jekyll. This is a National Trust property, (free for NT members). Bus no. 4 from Railway Station to Dringhouses every 15 minutes.

I am hoping to arrange a ‘Behind the Scenes Tour’ of the Leeds City Varieties, Swan St, Leeds LS1 6LW but they do not plan as far ahead as we do. If you are interested in joining a private tour, please contact the Executive Representative.

Saturday 11th November. 12noon
Meet at the La Loggia café at Ferens Art Gallery, Queen Victoria Square, Hull, HU1 3RA for a Handshake Event with Region 05, prior to visiting the gallery, just reopened as part of the City of Culture 2017. There are many other places of interest to visit in the city as well as a Heritage Walk. Entrance to the Art Gallery and most of the museums are free. Donations welcome.

Saturday 16th December. 12noon
Meet in the Cafeteria at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, LS2 7UP for lunch prior to a matinee performance of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ at 1.30pm. Please buy tickets in advance from Box Office 0113 213 7700, prices £14 to £40. Please note the change of traditional date!
